Motor Werke will provide a maintenance program for your vehicle that is consistent with factory Porsche service guidelines.  Expect the job to be done right – the first time.  We offer the following scheduled maintenance services:

2010_porsche_911_tech_dept-440x268
Oil Change- Recommended oil change interval every 5000km for conventional oil engines and every 8000km for synthetic oil engines.  Porsche vehicles late 1999 and up are synthetic oil and previous models operate with conventional oil.   Porsche oil change intervals according to the service indicator on the dash are approximately 25,000km between oil changes.  We recommend more frequent oil changes to maintain engine performance and durability over the life of your vehicle.  It may also be a benefit to you to come in every 6 months to change the oil and filter, check hoses, brakes, fluids and a visual inspection of the vehicle.  Regular maintenance may save you money over the lifetime of your vehicle, and possibly save you from a future breakdown.

Porsche Inspection
- Service indicator light on your instrument cluster will let you know when your full service maintenance inspection is due, when all the green lights have gone out and the yellow or red indicator light has appeared.

Coolant system Flush- Coolant keeps your engine within normal operating temperature, prevents freezing in winter and maintains the internal surfaces of your engine by preventing corrosion and protecting hoses, gaskets, seals, o-rings, radiator and lubricating the water pump.  New coolant protects and lubricates these components, as coolant ages (2-3yrs) the pH level drops and it can no longer provide this level of protection.  Coolant is not subjected to the same extreme conditions as engine oil and therefore does not need to be changed as frequent.  We recommend changing engine coolant every 2-3 years to keep the cooling system operating efficiently.

Brake system Flush- Brake fluid protects the brake system, lines, calipers, hoses, pistons and seals.  It is designed to absorb water to protect the brake system from corrosion.  Moisture lowers the boiling point of the fluid and also can cause corrosion in the system if not replaced.  Brake fluid should be replaced a minimum of every 2 years as recommended by Porsche factory service.

Transmission Fluid
- Most Porsche transmissions are “lifetime fluid” according to Porsche factory service guidelines.  To maintain the long term service of your transmission, we believe that it may be a good investment to change the transmission fluid and filter every 100,000km.

Power Steering Fluid- Porsche has no documented scheduled interval for replacing or flushing power steering fluid.  Just like other operating fluids in the vehicle, as it ages the power steering fluid is less effective in providing lubrication and protection for the power steering pump, gear, hoses, and seals.  A power steering fluid change is recommended at 40,000km intervals.

Fuel System Service
- Fuel system components can build up deposits over time which can have a negative impact on the efficiency and performance of your engine.  Our fuel system cleaning agent removes deposits on injectors, valves, and combustion chamber surfaces.  We recommend a fuel system service every 50,000km.
